An amusing sand pendulum... Since the bowl spins on ball-bearings and is completely independent of the pendulum and difficult to control, it would be nearly impossible to produce harmonic curves. A motorized bowl, with a speed control, maybe; but this overall patent design doesn't seem to be a very practical concept to me.
